Devine Owens Electronics Recycling is an LLC dedicated to recycling electronics for school districts and businesses alike. Our mission is to create an efficient process that is as easy for our clients as it is safe for the environment. Devine Owens has been in business since 1996, giving us a client base with major corporations nationwide. We started our operations by serving the school districts and businesses in the Greater Chicago area to promote and give back to the communities where we come from.  However, we now proudly support and serve communities all across America.

Devine Owens Electronics Recycling LLC is a R2v3 certified recycling company. We take pride that we have this renowned certification as it shows our dedication to limit the environmental impact electronics can have as well as showing that we value our clients’ data protection needs. Our job at Devine Owens Electronics Recycling LLC is to give a second life to as many electronics as possible. This effort will delay actions such as incineration and give electronic products an additional 5-23 years on average. 

Our philosophy is that a business is no better than the customer service they provide to their clients. We understand the process can be labor intensive and even costly as it takes up employees’ time and energy. For that reason, we provide a crew who make the process quick and simple. The crew will bring all the tools necessary to load the equipment and remove it the proper way. All we need for you to do is direct our crew towards the equipment that is ready to be recycled. Even if the equipment is in several rooms, on multiple floors, or in more than one building, our crew will handle the removal. At our warehouse, we utilize our own employees for the inventory, testing, and hard drive erasures.

We record the type of equipment, serial numbers, and asset tag numbers and this information is sent back to you as a certificate of destruction. The certificate serves as your release of liability. You have proof that your company has made a good hazardous waste determination, protected your data, and recycled your electronics in the proper way.

Data security is the final step in the process. We perform a NFTS 1 pass verification erase on every hard drive that enters our facility. This system is utilized through KillDisk 11 software and ensures that all data storage medium is wiped or overw

This system is utilized through KillDisk 11 software and ensures that all data storage medium is wiped or overwritten with “1” then with “0”. NFTS confirms to the US Department of Defense clearing and sanitizing standard Dod5220.22-M. You can be sure that once you clean up with KillDisk 11 software, your sensitive information is purged forever. If the computer cannot be accessed to perform the erasure procedure, the hard drive is destroyed. Your data security is of extreme importance to Devine Owens Electronics Recycling LLC. Eco-Friendly: Stay Clean & Stay Green

Devine Owens Electronics Recycling LLC is a state-of-the-art environmentally permitted recycling facility solely specializing in the reuse and disposal of computer products, keeping this equipment out of landfills. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) prefers reuse as the first option in responsibly managing these materials over the incineration process. Reuse is a responsible way to manage these materials because preventing or delaying the generation of waste often conserves valuable resources. This option extends the lives of valuable products and keeps them out of the waste management system for a longer time. In regards to monitors that cannot be reused, the CRT glass must be treated so that the TCLP lead concentration does not exceed 0.75 mg per liter. Devine Owens Electronics Recycling LLC has all bad monitors handled in this fashion. This concentration level is achieved by crushing and stabilizing the glass through the addition of chemicals which reduce the solubility of lead.
